Whether you’ve got a hankering for comfort food, soups, snacks or sides, the Insta Pot is the way to go! This is the Pressure Cooker I use. Tasty meals cooked in a fraction of the time makes the Insta Pot the most popular pressure cooker on the market. We can’t get enough of all the mouth watering recipes cooked with these magical multicookers. Here’s how to cook the perfect hard boiled egg using an Insta Pot, along with some of our favorite healthy (and low calorie) recipes.
Pour 1 cup of water into Instant Pot
Put the steam rack in
Place your eggs on the steam rack
Pressure cook for 5 min
Naturally release for 5 min or do quick release
Place in cold water for 15 min or just eat right away
You will be amazed how easy it is to cook hard boiled eggs in your instant pot. The eggs peel so easily.
3 low calorie, high protein snacks with hard boiled eggs
Deviled Eggs with Hummus
After boiling your egg and rinsing with cold water, peel off the shell and slice the egg in half the long way. Remove egg yolk and top with hummus, or leave the yoke in if you don’t mind the extra calories. This is so delicious and it will fill you up after a long day of sticking to your diet. What I love about hard boiled eggs is that they are a great source of protein and can be easily added to salads, noodles and sandwiches. If you leave the shells on in the refrigerator, they will last a whole week!
Egg Salad Sandwich
Forgo the mayonnaise and mash up your hard boiled eggs with 1/4 c. non-fat greek yogurt, 1 tsp. dijon mustard and 1 tbsp fresh dill. Add some salt, pepper and chopped celery for crunch.
Quick Cobb Salad
Combine 2 slices of bacon, tomatoes, lettuce, chicken breast cut into cubes, cucumbers and hard boiled eggs. Sprinkle with some sunflower seeds.
Instead of high calorie blue cheese dressing, substitute 1/4 c. non-fat greek yogurt, 2 tbls. light ranch dressing, 1/3 c crumbled feta cheese.
